Don’t Be Scared By The $9.99 In App Purchase
I know that the freemium business model stills concerns some people. But of course it does when some developers waste your time with the free version that doesn’t even give you a taste for the app’s functionality. However, Sip is not like those. I haven’t found the need to buy the In App Purchase, personally. It does have some features that interest me; but I’ve been using and enjoying the “non-pro” version (free version) for probably a year now. It’s a great part of my workflow. Really, I can’t believe it’s free. I love it and I recommend it. And you only get “bothered” (informed) with the offer to upgrade to Pro when you install or reinstall/update the app. So, maybe once every few months. I think it’s great and I hope this app continues to do well.
A side note: I do have a problem with In App Purchases just because they dont work with Family Sharing. This is on Apple though. In my opinon, there should probably be two types of IAPs—non-shareable, non-restorable purchases for things like coins/lives in games and whatnot. And second, family-shareable/restorable purchases for things like pro upgrades and the like.
