Sip App Reviews

I just downloaded an update for Sip and I am so disappointed. This went from being my go-to palette tool to something that wastes more of my time than it saves. It’s almost like the app has been re-programmed to ignore 50% (sometimes more) of user clicks. I don’t know what happened, but please fix it or I am going to have to find a new tool :(

Sip is becoming a constant tool in my design tool belt. It’s among greats like xScope and Sketch for me. A must have tool to get my job done each day. The color dock is the best thing about the app. I use the to to have a project’s color palette always at the ready.

So useful! I need it for design constantly. It’s easy and convenient. Only complaint is copying the hex code can be irritating when you’re rushing through your work (ie: I click a color, get the code as a too quickly fading notification which then means I have to open the dropdown to copy). Not enough to remove a star. So glad this was recommended to me.

I absolutely love this product - its simple, but has many very powerful features as well. It’s everything you can want in a standalone color picker, especially if you switch through your design medium a lot like me - I write websites, apps, and work with photoshop so the easy transition between copying hex, rgb rgba, etc is really convenient. You can’t go wrong with this product - grab it up now!

I have been using Sip for almost a year now, it is part of my daily routine. It works great, and the UI is very intuitive and clean. The only thing that bugs me is the occasional flickering when I want to select the menu to access the sample tool. I love how easy it is to add multiple color to one paletter with the shift button, super useful. Well done guys!

I use Sip on a regular basis for my simple graphic design needs. Lately Ive been frustrated with just two aspects of the app: (1) How difficult it is to quit -- you have to scroll down to the bottom of your active Palette to see the Quit icon. If you tend to use the same palette a lot and let your Color History build up, this results in a very long list before you can quit. (2) Cant switch palettes easily-- this would help eliminate the former problem. I created a new Palette and try to switch to it, but the app seems to ignore my clicks. I even changed the name, but the change didnt "stick" with a click-- I had to hit Enter. Now, my Color History is "checked," but I cant check anything else to make it the Palette! Otherwise, this app is great! Simple, with easy shortcuts and an interface that makes things intuitive and more or less easy to understand.

I’m a professional graphic designer and I’m telling you or even better put yourself together lol and download sip. The only two features that I would add is to show complementary, analog, shades, tints etc and Pantone colors. But for the price is a MUST HAVE thank you OLA BROTHERS :)

The color picker is probably one of the best features about Sip. Works in any app and is flawless in my experience. With the upgraded purchase having the ability to store color historys and sharing them as Sass/Scss or even as HTML files is fantastic.

Very cool tool ! On the previous version, a simple click was enough to copy a color from the magnifier. (the magnifier was disappearing right after the selectin) Now, when I click to select a color, the magnifier is still active and I have to press ESC to be able to leave it and be able to paste the color. note: I love the naming of the colors :)

Hi guys, I bought your tool couples months ago and it was very very nice tool. Recently you decided to update it, add features and I found it slower. Also: - Could you please remove the name of each color or at least, add a turn off button in the settings? - In the previous version, once a color was selected, the magnifier disappeared which was very cool, now you have to press ESC! - Also I loved the small popover once a color was selected, showing the CSS, please put it back! Its a great tool but I prefer the previous version.. :/ Thanks in advance! Richard

Perfect application

Doesn’t get in your way, does all you need and more. If you work with colors, give it a spin, you’ll adopt it. Nothing more to add.
